WATERFEST - Waterfest is a day for Lenexa residents to join together to celebrate water! Free to the public, Waterfest offers lots of interactive booths as well as live entertainment and water games and activities that appeal to all ages. The 11th annual Waterfest is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 31, 2010 at Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park in Lenexa, 87th Street and Lackman Road. Event Details

TAILS ON THE TRAILS - Tails on the Trails combines the popular Children's Pet Fair and the Annual Puppy Swims, so kids bring your pet to compete in the pet/owner look-a-like contest, or take Fido swimming. In addition, there will be a variety of pet vendors, exhibits and demonstrations. Tails on the Trails is held 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., August 14 at Ad Astra Swimming Pool, surrounding trails and shelter area. Event Details

2010 ARTISTS' SHOW - Come see the outstanding, artistic talent of your neighbors and friends at the 19th annual Lenexa Artists' Show, which will be on display in the City Hall Art Gallery August 26 through September 29th This juried show, which is organized by the City of Lenexa and Lenexa Arts Council, features paintings, drawings, photography, mixed media and 3-D art created by Lenexa residents.

PUBLIC MEETINGS - The Lenexa Parks & Rec. Advisory Board meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm. Meeting locations for summer 2010 will be listed on the Council Calendar. In the event of inclement weather, meetings will be held at the Community Center.

The Lenexa Arts Council meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, 7:00pm, City Hall.
